New Beginnings

My son and I went for a walk in the hills behind our house on the last day of 2019 (yesterday). It was a lovely day, with the late afternoon sun striking the flora and path at soft angles. I was considering the coming year and we stopped next to a fern and I took the photos here.

Remembering the significance of the fern frond for new beginnings (my story told in tattoos includes this significance of beginning again), it seemed appropriate to encounter these on the last day of 2019. Looking at the fronds, I could see so much potential inside of the frond, waiting to spring forth.

Sometimes, we feel wound tight and we don’t see the potential in ourselves. Others may be able to look and see that of which we are capable, but we discount or dismiss entirely our potential.

You are capable of so much! Find others that can see and encourage this potential in you. These are the people you want in your life!

That your evolving narratives will bring you strength and joy!
